My name is Keli Hansen. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for 17 years with my husband, son and daughter.

In 1994 my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and I decided then to stay home and care for her medical needs.  Being at home enabled me to pursue my knitting interests ( I learned to knit at age 9 from my grandmother and years later I completed Level 1 and 2 of the Canadian Masters Knitting Certification Program).  Sure I did other things but knitting was always something I fell back on during stressful times.

As I knitted with a wide range of yarns my curiosity about the animals increased. My family would humor me as we visited different local farms to buy sheep and alpaca fleece.

Visiting different animals I was intrigued by the wide range of fiber characteristics found in angora rabbits (angora fiber is seven times warmer then wool so a little goes a long way).  Also, they were easy to care for and their cuteness factor was hard to resist.  In December 2011 I purchased my first german angora rabbit and his name was Quest.

Now fast forward to 2017 and I have four Does named: Pearl, Sumptuous, Breezy and Breathtaking.

I like their fiber as I can harvest a large amount every 90 days to send off to a wool mill.  German Angora is a dense “heavier” fiber.  I focus on providing my customers with luxurious angora sock yarn and roving.
